There will be many special celebrations this year for the 80th Anniversary of VE Day but few will appeal to our senior citizen’s more than the smash hit patriotic matinee show, Land of Hope and Glory from Neil Sands Productions who for over the past 19 years have been delighting audiences with their spectacular trips back down memory lane earning themselves the title of “The Masters of Matinee Nostalgia”
Produced especially to celebrate this special occasion Land of Hope and Glory will be an unforgettable afternoon of patriotic nostalgia, filled with over 60 all-time favourite songs celebrating the best of British entertainment through the decades. Travel back to the rocking 1950’s and the swinging 1960’s, enjoy ever popular show tunes and sing along to a Pearly King & Queen old time knees up, a rousing selection from Last Night of The Proms. A spirit lifting end of the war VE Day party, and a flag waving finale in a tribute to the veterans of the armed forces, singing the songs that won the war.
Joining Neil for this incredibly special afternoon of music and memories are two amazingly talented young ladies with outstanding voices. Both Babette Smith and Sophie Pinsent have graced many West End stages. With backing from the very talented Golden Times, this really is an afternoon of nostalgic bliss, filled with over 50 spectacular costumes and packed with songs guaranteed to having you singing along from start to finish.
