Adult Art Class

A 6-week adult art class introducing the principal of drawing using pencils, pens, pastels and paints. The ideal start for learning the foundations of art. Tutor-guided sessions will look to build confidence and skill in each medium. A warm and friendly environment creating a perfect atmosphere for the beginner.

This half term, sessions will be based around the following:

Session 1: Drawing lace
Session 2: The art of drawing fungi
Session 3: Colour; painting with a limited pallet
Session 4: Ink & wash; painting with ink
Session 5: Watercolour; mastering the medium and introduction to watercolour pencil
Session 6: Acrylic painting; sunsets.

Next half term, sessions will be based around the following:

Session 1: Drawing; William Blake’s Angels
Session 2: Collage with paper & fabric
Session 3: Watercolour illustration; special focus on Quentin Blake and Beatrix Potter
Session 4: Folk painting and making paper decorations.
Session 5: Collaging Christmas; creating your own cards.
Session 6: Shadow puppetry and 2d stop motion; the art of Lotte Reiniger
