Adult Art Class

A 6-week adult art class introducing the principal of drawing using pencils, pens, pastels and paints. The ideal start for learning the foundations of art. Tutor-guided sessions will look to build confidence and skill in each medium. A warm and friendly environment creating a perfect atmosphere for the beginner.

This half term, sessions will be based around the following:

4th September: Drawing lace
11th September: The art of drawing fungi
18th September: Colour; painting with a limited pallet
25th September: Ink & wash; painting with ink
2nd October: Watercolour; mastering the medium and introduction to watercolour pencil
9th October: Acrylic painting; sunsets.

Next half term, sessions will be based around the following:

6th November: Drawing; William Blake’s Angels
13th November: Collage with paper & fabric
20th November: Watercolour illustration; special focus on Quentin Blake and Beatrix Potter
27th November: Folk painting and making paper decorations.
4th December: Collaging Christmas; creating your own cards.
11th December: Shadow puppetry and 2d stop motion; the art of Lotte Reiniger
