Each year The Brewhouse works with various performers, venues and partners to put on Burton Children's Festival. With a jam packed programme of events, the festival aims to engage with families across East Staffordshire previewing some of the best Children's theatre and arts workshops. Storywells
A past project discovering and celebrating Burton’s brewing stories from the 1960’s and 1970’s. This ambitious community project explored life and work in Burton during the 1960’s and 1970’s through the stories of the people that were there. We have worked with professional storytellers and volunteers to interview local people who have shared their memories of living and working in Burton at the time.
A grant of £43,500 from the Heritage Lottery Fund and support from local residents, Staffordshire County Council, The National Brewery Centre, Queen’s Hospital, Burton Library and Burton Civic Society have all made this project to celebrate Burton’s unique past possible.
